Hip pain does not always start in the hip. It can come from the hip joint, the muscles and tendons around it, the pelvis or the low back. That is why we check all of them before we suggest a plan. At Krieg Chiropractic Center, Dr. Krieg and Dr. Dettmann use gentle spinal and extremity adjusting, exercise therapy and soft tissue work to help the hip move and feel better.
Get medical care right away if you cannot put weight on the leg after a fall, if the hip is hot, red or swollen with a fever, or if severe pain came on suddenly without a clear reason.
Your first visit starts with a conversation about your history and goals, then an exam and any imaging we need before anything is recommended. We explain what we found and what we suggest, in plain words, before care starts.
New Patient Special: $24. It covers your consultation and exam, any necessary X-rays, your adjustment, and use of the Human Touch massage chair. By law this offer excludes Medicare and Medicaid recipients.

Often, yes. Many hip problems are linked to how the low back, pelvis and hip move together. We check all three and build a plan around what we find. If your exam suggests a problem inside the joint that needs a medical doctor, we tell you.
Pain on the outside of the hip at night often comes from irritated tendons or the bursa over the hip bone. Posture, how you walk and muscle strength around the hip all play a part, and we check each of them.
Yes. Joints and nerves in the low back can send pain into the hip and buttock. That is one reason we examine your low back even when the pain feels like it is in the hip.
When it is a good fit. Dr. Dettmann focuses on spinal and extremity adjusting, which includes joints like the hip, knee and ankle.
